Thank you Mr Sepp Blatter

Dear Mr Blatter

Thank you very much from me personally and I am sure on behalf of millions of South African’s. You Mr Blatter have stood by this country since we were awarded the honour in hosting your fantastic tournament. In the past few years I have been a distant watcher on your comments and have greatly admired you as you have stood up for South Africa time and time again.

  • They said “The stadiums are not finished” – you said they would be and there were, you called them masterpieces.
  • They said it was un safe to come to South Africa – you told them to come – they came and we looked after them.
  • They said the ticket sales were down – you broke all ticketing records with the tournament
  • They said it was a mistake giving the honour to South Africa – you said it will be the best games ever -and it was
  • They said ban the vuvuzeles – you said let them blow – we did and now the vuvu is a world wide sensation – you right Mr Blatter – Africa does have it;s own rhythm.

You see Mr Blatter the way I see it, it is your who we should say thank you to. You haveĀ  gave us the chance, you made us proud, you have given us such a boost in confidence , a new found believability as a nation and the national pride that came from hosting this magnificent event.

Thank you Mr Blatter!
