Telkom accounting sucks
Let me just start by saying that you must not be diligent with Telkom – you must be a lame ass and pay everything @ the last minute and do not sign debit orders with them. In Dec 2009 I made payment via there “fantastic” (incase you do not get it this word is sugar coated in sarcasm) online system – the amount was kept on hold on my card – now 3 months later they realise the bank never gave them the money. So this is now my problem and I must prove they got the money. Yes being deadly serious – let me continue. Ok so now I had a balance on 2 accounts for R4600 – now being the diligent guy that I am I saw this online and made payment 3 weeks ago. To cover and clear my account. Now the end of the month rolls around and they still debit my account as the invoice is still showing as unpaid, the amounts that I paid during the month do not effect the bill in that billing cycle. Yea discovered this in chatting to Telkom – oh wait now the best part – the amount deducted – double paid on your account will serve as a credit during the next invoicing cycle.
Ok Telkom if you have not heard this before then let me tell you that your own efficiencies in taking money from clients is the fore front of your complete incompetence!
