Ok it is official, the Proteas are a bunch of chokers. Yup we may be number 1 in the world however we do not have the big match temperament when it really counts. Hey I do not want to discredit the fine performance of Graeme Smith as a batsman. The big question has to be asked is where are our short comings?  Is it due to the pre match preparation? Lack of leadership in the team from either the staff or the coach? Do they need a shake up and get some really top class head shrinks in there? I must interject in my own ramblings and add that they were very positive in the press prior to the ICC, no let me take that a step further, they were overly cock sure and yes in some ways set themselves up for the dismal hiding they got by both England and  Sri Lanka. Who in their right mind takes on the media and says they do not see any team as a threat in this years ICC. Well guys catch a wake up as clearly you over estimated your own bravado and got a hiding by 2 out of the 3 teams you played.

Congrats chokers in being the first team knocked out of the ICC 2009! Oh one last thing, do not use the lack of use of the Wanderers as an excuse, you should be a world class team playing on a world class stage that should adapt and perform at the level at which you are playing.
