Straight off the bat – How could Obama be awarded a peace prize while he still has troops fighting in Afghanistan? While he is still dominating Iraq? This should not happen, ok so he won the USA elections and has bought his country together in a strange and positive way, to give them belief and confidence in a country where it was lacking for the past number of years. He is however not a Noble Peace maker. He has taken over a legacy of war lords seeking world domination by force and power. How in the world can this be accepted as a decent acceptable winner for this prestigious award. It is a farce and belittles all the previous winners of the award and what it stands for. Mandela is a winner as is Deklerk, they did something they changed a country, bought peace in a land that was divided on many fronts, they put it forward on the path to a better life for all South Africans. They were not bombing the hell out of foreign lands to dominate and suppress them! Sure Obama has the metal and I believe he has what it takes to get there and be a well deserved recipient of this award, now – no, maybe once he has been given a chance to prove himself and create accomplishments, something more than becoming the President of the USA. This is an accomplishment on it’s own, what it is not is a recipient of the Noble Peace Prize – FARCE!
