Googlefusion
Fusion and confusion are close together and often mask the same identity on the outside however can lead to very different people. By owning a number of sites on the WWW I notice alot of queries coming through for people looking for various companies and they turned to Google to do their searching. No just because a site is similar in content to what you are looking for does not mean that it is the company you are searching for. With the perfection of SEO, general keywords and naivety thrown in the mix you have a potentially confused end user.
One example is Travelclub.co.za – this is a simple website where I have the offerings of flight tickets and packages. Had a call this week my latest example is a women called and said that a telesales company keeps calling her and said they were from Travel Club – well then that must be me – stand up and be counted! Not I own and run the website I am not a company called Travelclub.
Another example is Workerhire.co.za – this is a site where I have joined forces with MSR to assist men on the side of the road to find employment. There is a company / offering from a similar company to recruit people to travel overseas in a professional environment. Big difference – workerhire.co.za is a free service for generally unskilled labor in South Africa, we do not send people overseas from this website and do not have this offering, a simple skim of the landing page of the site will enlighten you to the undertaking, direction and goal of the website. I have had a few people demaning money back from me as they are looking for workerhire. Seriously get over the googlefusion and think for yourselves.
That being said I have been enlightened further to my cell phone post that there are people out there that are really that challenged and need to be told to hang up at the end of a call. I think the above could be experienced by similar parties.
