OK call me a spoil sport, snob, elitist what ever, I am in no hurry to do another Argus. You see the parking lots going up hospital hill, Boyes drive or Smitswinkel was really no fun. You see you get a pace feel strong, get boxed in, just really no fun at all. Then added to this we had wind to contend with, no fun at all, ended up shouldering someone near Simon’s town due to riders who cannot or do not know how to hold their line, thank goodness they did not lap the wheel in front or we all really would have been in trouble. Guess next time I do it – if ever – I will be more selective, if I do not get a great start time I will not do it again. This year saw me going off in the X batch just after 7h30 with 600 other odd riders. The wind played havoc and the busy roads did not help and my sub 4 Argus fell into the abyss. We were plagued by medical problems just before Chappies which saw us bunny hop medical tents from there to the end at snails pace.

Guys you can have the Argus….I conceed I am in no rush to do it again….

I must and will say though that the bells and the fans cheering were certainly the highlight of the day you all deserve a huge round of applause thank you!
